These applications are the latest as of 08/21/2009!   Download, print out and ask your fellow MGs to join today!  Additionally, we have produced a fine-looking color brochure detailing the advantages of becoming a MG.  This is perfect to recruit those MG interns.

On-line Application and Renewal

On-line Application and Renewal is back and our secure payment options are still working just fine! Click here to check it out.

Membership Applications

Pick one of the formats below to download an print applications.  The Adobe Acrobat requires the free "Adobe Reader" program available by clicking on the icon below, BUT it looks the best.
"Printer-friendly" Adobe (pdf) format.  Previous forms will not be accepted without the correct dues payment included!  This is a two sided form with a description of VMGA on the back, and the actual application on the front.

MS Word format.  This form will open using MS Word or many other word processing programs.  However, it may look funny due to the default fonts and other formatting in YOUR version of the program.  We recommend the Adobe Format above.

Recruiting Brochure

Recruiting Brochure!   Download it. Print it double-sided and fold it in thirds.  It is a printer-friendly file.

About the Virginia Master Gardener Association, Inc.
The Virginia Master Gardener Association is a state-wide association of Master Gardeners and VCE employees whose mission is to foster communication, education, and fellowship among Master Gardeners, and to give support and input to the state leaders of our Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) program at Virginia Tech. VMGA, a non-profit organization, is guided by elected individuals who have an interest in the issues concerning the Master Gardener volunteer at the state level. While a Master Gardener does not have to belong to VMGA or a local association to be an active Master Gardener, membership in the state association, VMGA, is an important way to give direct input to VCE in the issues concerning Master Gardeners in Virginia.

Membership in the Virginia Master Gardener Association offers:
  • Communication and Fellowship among Virginia Master Gardeners and VCE staff, including a quarterly newsletter (The VMGA Report), a web site (www.vmga.net), a membership directory to help you can contact Master Gardeners around the state, and bimonthly board meetings where issues concerning the Master Gardener volunteer are discussed. Board meetings are open to any Master Gardener or VCE employee.

  • Quality Education at a reasonable price. VMGA offers advanced training on timely and varied topics that members want to hear, at locations throughout the state.

  • Support for your unit with information on association organization, speakers, Master Gardener training, and project development and management.

  • Representation, through the Unit Representative, in decisions concerning Virginia Master Gardeners.
You, the Master Gardener or VCE employee, offer the Association:
  • Your support as a member of the Association.

  • Your ideas and expertise as Virginia Master Gardener volunteers and VCE staff.

  • Your time to make it all work!
