Some updates concerning MG College:

Master Gardener College 2009 is underway in beautiful Blacksburg VA.  Click here for up to the minute information.

The VMGA 2008 annual meeting minutes can be seen at the following link: http://vmga.net/Minutes/Annual/VMGA2008Annual-draft.htm . They will be voted on at the Annual Meeting.

The regular bi-monthly meeting will be a very short meeting on June 19th, Torgerson Hall Room(1060) at 5:00 p.m. - Click here to see more

SFE Poster/Brag Boards (Christy Brennan): Set up in Torgerson by 5:00 on Thursday. Judging will take place between 5:00 and 6:00. Take-down on Friday between 5:00 and 6:00. Winners will be announced on Saturday night.

Silent Auction (Leslie Paulson): Delivery of items to Torgerson - Thursday night, between 6:00 - 7:00pm, before the Milestone Awards Ceremony at 7:00pm or bring them Friday morning, 7:30 - 8:30am, prior to MG College Welcome at 8:30am. Make sure you have already sent Leslie the necessary paperwork on your items.Contact Leslie Paulson (ljp6651@comcast.net or 703-330-9441) or Sharon Corbin (sharonandtrish@comcast.net). Need four people to help Friday night set up tables and log items in after the MG Coordinator Endowment Reception. Please contact Leslie if you are available. This would be a good time to check out the workings of the Silent Auction committee as Leslie is looking for someone else to take over next year.

VMGA membership dues are due and can be paid to MaryAnn Kincaid, Membership Chair, at MG College.

Download a CD file to burn and show at your meeting by clicking here and copying ALL of those files to a new folder on your hard disk.  Use that file to make a CD using your software, and you can show the presentation even if you don't have MS PowerPoint.

 

  • Information about on-campus and off-campus housing for our 22nd Annual MG College is now up on the website. There is link where you can go ahead and make your on-campus reservation. Due to scheduling issues, the Graduate Life Center (formerly Donaldson-Brown) is not available this year. We do have blocks of rooms available at the Inn at VT and the Holiday Inn (these rooms will not be released for reservations until next week). Information about Conference registration will be forthcoming and hopefully up very soon. I hope we can begin taking online conference registrations by the first of May at the latest.
